Bhan Baitong | Lake Forest, California September 5, 2026

The William & Stephanie Foundation (WSF) organized a special Thai Community Luncheon and Small Business Workshop at Bhan Baitong in Lake Forest, bringing together Congresswoman Judy Chu, Thai American community leaders, restaurant owners, and local small business representatives.

WSF sincerely thanks Congresswoman Chu for taking time during the holiday weekend to engage directly with the Thai community. During the gathering, she visited with local restaurant owners, learned about the realities of operating Thai restaurants, and listened to the challenges and opportunities facing Thai American small businesses.

The discussion addressed important issues affecting restaurant operators and entrepreneurs, including rising operating costs, access to capital, workforce development, government resources, and opportunities for sustainable business growth.

Small businesses are the heart of our communities. WSF is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for business owners to communicate directly with elected officials, government agencies, and community organizations—and to gain greater access to the resources and support they need.

WSF extends its sincere appreciation to Oraw “Bee” Kidjapipat, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, for her leadership and partnership in bringing the community together and helping ensure that the voices of Thai American business owners are heard.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Congresswoman Judy Chu, President Oraw “Bee” Kidjapipat, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and other community partners to provide practical workshops, strengthen local businesses, and promote inclusive economic development throughout Southern California.
