The William Stephanie Foundation proudly attended and supported the grand opening of the art exhibition “NATURA” held at the Consulate of Mexico in Santa Ana, California. The exhibition featured the talented artists Maricruz Sibaja and Phoebe Sieu, attracting around 200 art enthusiasts from various backgrounds, all gathered to celebrate this visual and emotional feast.
Maricruz Sibaja, born in Juchitan Oaxaca, Mexico, and raised in Mexico City, Chiapas, and Oaxaca, brings a rich Mexican cultural essence to her work. With vibrant colors and vivid expressions, she invites viewers into a world full of stories and emotions. Maricruz’s pieces are not only a heartfelt tribute to her homeland but also a continuation of cultural heritage.
Phoebe Sieu’s artwork captivates audiences with its pure and dynamic style. Self-taught from the age of five without formal art education or instruction, Phoebe’s creations reflect a profound understanding of nature and a sincere love for the world. Despite being only 12 years old, her paintings are as pure and ethereal as clouds in the sky, filled with spirituality and beauty, earning widespread acclaim in the art community.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, the Head Consul of the Consulate of Mexico in Santa Ana, Audrey Rivera Gómez, and U.S. Congressman J. Luis Correa. They presented honor certificates to the two artists, recognizing their outstanding contributions to modern and multicultural art.
