Mr. Daniel Sieu, Chairman of William Stephanie Foundation received a call from one of our fellow CIEDEC members Kusum Kavia of Combustion Associations Inc. out of Corona, California. This company has received national recognition from the likes of Former President Barak Obama and various agencies within the US Department of Commerce. The company specializes in taking electric turbines, engineering the peripherals, then build out the systems for compatibility with natural gas, hydrogen, methane among other combustible feed stock; The finished product is containerize power generator, ready to ship and install anywhere In the world.

“Kusum” stated that one of their turbine suppliers, Baker Hughes ($22Billion in annual revenue) would be in visiting Southern California to explore the possibilities of setting up, mini-grid communities: Standby clean energy and setting up other stand-alone power generation systems. She needed some strategic introductions to people, corporations and government agencies who shared a mutual understanding for setting up such infrastructure to meeting clean air needs and serve as backup power systems for disaster preparedness.

We arranged a meeting between CAI, Baker/Hughes and California State treasurer Fiona Ma. In the meeting, the discussion focused on feasibility, timing, government support and benefit to the local population and community. From these priorities, we drew into the discussion The likes of SB County Supervisor, Curt Haggman and the Soboba Band of Luiserno Indians. Forward thinkers in their own right in the areas of renewable energy, power storage and generation.
