The William & Stephanie Foundation (WSF) was honored to attend and support the Indonesian Cultural Festival and LA Gamelan Festival hosted by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Los Angeles.
Over the two-day celebration, the festival welcomed approximately 2,000 attendees, bringing together community leaders, cultural organizations, artists, musicians, educators, and families to celebrate the rich heritage and artistic traditions of Indonesia.
The festival highlighted the beauty of Indonesian culture through traditional music, dance, and cultural performances, while also strengthening multicultural understanding and friendship within California’s diverse communities.
A special highlight of the event was the recognition and tribute to two highly respected cultural maestros, Mr. I Nyoman Wenten and Mrs. Nanik Wenten, honoring their extraordinary dedication and contributions to teaching and promoting Indonesian arts and culture throughout California and across the United States for the past 50 years.
WSF strongly believes that cultural exchange and arts education play an important role in building stronger communities and inspiring future generations. By supporting international cultural events such as the LA Gamelan Festival, WSF continues its mission of promoting multicultural appreciation, educational opportunities, and global friendship.
WSF extends its appreciation to the Consulate General of Indonesia, organizers, performers, and community supporters for their efforts in preserving and sharing Indonesia’s rich cultural legacy with the broader public.
