On 12/21/2023, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Anhui Province of China and William Stephanie Foundation organized a promotion conference to promote the cultural heritage and tourism resources of Anhui Province, China. This huge successful event was held in the Filoli Historic House & Garden, San Francisco, California.

 

Through this event, more than 150 in-person audiences learned about the scenic landscapes, ancient architecture, traditional arts, and vibrant folklore of Anhui Province. The province is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the iconic Huangshan Mountain, known for its awe-inspiring peaks and mystical cloud formations. This event also featured the tea art performance of Anhui, which has a deep-rooted and refined tea culture, encompassing various traditional tea arts that have been passed down through generations.

 

This event featured keynote speaker Hon. Sun Yong, Deputy Governor of the Anhui Provincial People’s Government, Hon. Evan Reade, International Affairs Advisor at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of California, Hon. Fiona Ma, California State Treasurer, Hon. Malia Cohen, California State Controller, Mr. John Hutar, President and CEO of the San Francisco Peninsula, and Mr. Zhou Mingjie, Director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The Chairman of William Stephanie Foundation, Mr. Daniel Sieu, was invited to make an opening remark at the beginning of this event.
